Diedra served as a contracts and vouchers auditor for the U.S. Department of Defense, (DCASR) and continues serving on the state and local level of government.
A retired Advisor from California State University, Northridge Diedra also served as a Union Steward for Academic Professionals of California (APC Unit 4). Her background at the local government level includes serving as the Vice President of Northridge East Neighborhood Council, and elected as a Los Angeles City Budget Advocate, working towards improving the services for the stakeholders and advising on a $9 billion dollar budget within the City and County of Los Angeles. Diedra also has an extensive career and background in healthcare.
Ms. Greenaway earned a Master of Science: Business Administration and a Master of Science: Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts: Sociology and post graduate education in gerontology from California State University, Northridge.
Diedra is also a small business owner, mother, and grandmother.
2 days after her breast cancer surgery in 2019, Diedra jumped out of her recovery bed and drove 40 miles to Los Angeles to canvass for a friend's political campaign. Diedra is always ready to lend a hand to support her party, Democratic candidates, and progressive causes and rallies. Diedra has marched and protested for LGBTQ rights, women's rights, against war, for immigrants rights, worker's and union rights, for the rights of the houseless, #metoo, housing issues, #BLM, etc. Diedra has also written countless published articles supporting progressive issues. Diedra is a fighter who is not afraid to stand up for the rights of others. She will fight for our rights in the Assembly.
